Terms in various languages
In scientific literature, a few variations have been coined in different languages to describe urban tree species that are adaptable to climate change.
In the English language, one term that has been suggested is climate-ready trees e.g. choosing species that are ready to withstand anticipated climate changes.
In the French language the term “trees of tomorrow” has been widely adopted e.g. tree species suitable for the cities of the future.
